Inspired by the Bentley 3-Litre, the 3L Shatranj pays homage to the engineering brilliance and innovation of W.O Bentley and his team.

A handcrafted story of nuanced detailing, the body uses a subtle leather with a walnut playing top detail. The pieces are poised as a contrast of matte black powder coating and nickel with feature details highlighted in black nickel and brushed brass, while the playing board comprises of contrast leathers.
Each piece is hand engineered, gesturing to crafted mechanical aspects of the original 3-litre cars. The design references the materials and technology of the 3-litre Bentley, using metal finishing and hand detailing that reflects the aesthetic of early Bentley designs. The 3L Shatranj chess set was launched at the Bentley 100 Celebration in London 2019.
